Tura, Sept 13: West Balalgre Football Club capped off the third round of the Tura Football League (TFL) Super Division 2026-27 in emphatic fashion on Saturday, delivering a heavy 5-1 defeat to Araimile Socio Cultural Club at the P.A. Sangma Football Stadium in Dakopgre.
Despite Araimile SCC winning the toss and kicking off the match, West Balalgre gained early momentum as Sengbin Marak opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Araimile SCC fought back to equalize in the 24th minute through a strike from Malsin K Marak. However, West Balalgre reclaimed the advantage late in the opening half when Ayuran Marak found the net in the 44th minute, sending his side into the break with a 2-1 lead.
The second half proved to be a dominant display from West Balalgre. Dinath Marak extended the advantage in the 60th minute to make it 3-1. While Araimile SCC failed to further capitalize on their goal-scoring opportunities, West Balalgre maintained relentless pressure on their opponents right up to the final whistle. Raksan Marak added a fourth goal in the 85th minute before Thia Sangma put the game completely out of reach in the 89th minute to wrap up a decisive 5-1 victory.

The match also saw some physical play in the opening half, with West Balalgre’s Ayuran Marak, receiving a yellow card caution in the 22nd minute.
Saturday’s high-scoring clash, however, marks the final TFL Super Division match to be held at the P.A. Sangma Football Stadium for the remainder of the season. The District Football Association (DFA) Tura has confirmed that matches from the fourth round fixtures will be relocated to the Narangbari Playground in Selsella.
Speaking on the venue change, DFA official stated that ongoing construction and upgrade works at the venue for the upcoming National Games early next year made the shift necessary, and that hosting league matches alongside active civil work may cause operational disruptions.

Prior to selecting Selsella, the DFA and Super Division club representatives held consultative meetings and inspected alternative grounds across Tura. Discussions with playground authorities in Selsella subsequently confirmed that the Narangbari field possessed the necessary requirements to host the league.
The DFA announced that while the fourth round is officially moved to Narangbari Playground in Selsella, exact match dates will be finalized and notified to clubs and supporters within a week. Officials also confirmed that the grand final of the tournament will take place in the month of October, with the final date to be announced shortly.
