Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen suffered an early exit at the Denmark Open 2026, going down to Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tien Chen in the men’s singles first round on Tuesday.
Lakshya went down 18-21, 21-13, 15-21 in a closely contested encounter that lasted 63 minutes.
The defeat adds to a difficult run for the Indian shuttler, who also endured an early exit from the men’s singles competition at the Asian Games 2026.
At the continental event, Lakshya lost 12-21, 21-15, 14-21 to Singapore’s former world champion Loh Kean Yew in the second round at the Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium.
With consecutive early exits at major competitions, Lakshya will be looking to regain momentum and find consistency as he continues his campaign on the international badminton circuit.
