Tura, Aug 5: The second semi-final match of the Tura Football League’s First Division tier saw Kalkame Football Association produced a stunning second-half performance to overcome Achapara Balmikka by 3 – 1 on Wednesday at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School playground in Chandmary, Tura, securing their sport in the final.
Achapara Balmikka got off to a bright start, drawing first blood in the 27th minute when Eltish Sangma found the back of the net. Achapara successfully defended their narrow 1–0 lead through the remainder of the opening half, forcing Kalkame FA to regroup at the break.
The second half, however, belonged entirely to Kalkame FA. Coming out with explosive intent after the restart, Maswel Sangma leveled the score in the 46th minute. Riding the momentum, Matsrang Sangma put Kalkame FA ahead just four minutes later in the 50th minute mark. Maswel Sangma put the game beyond reach in the 66th minute, completing his brace and capping off a dominant 3–1 comeback victory for his side.

Achapara Balmikka’s Pornit D. Sangma picked up the game’s lone cautionary yellow card in the 68th minute.
With this win, Kalkame FA advances to the First Division championship match, where they will face off against Danakgre Youth Sports and Cultural Association (DYSCA) on August 7. Local sports fans are in for an exciting blockbuster event on Friday, as the GBHSS playground in Chandmary, Tura hosts a double-header finale to crown the champions of both the Second Division and First Division tiers.
