Shillong, Aug 13: Subansiri United FC secured their place in the final of the Rupa Football League – Independence Cup 2026 after defeating Khrimey Rung FC 2-1 in the second semi-final at Gyaptong Stadium, Rupa, Arunachal Pradesh.
The match produced an exciting contest, with both sides battling hard for a place in the final. Subansiri United maintained their composure during the crucial stages of the game to seal a 2-1 victory and progress to the title clash.
Subansiri United will now face Tenga United FC in the final. Tenga United had earlier booked their place in the final with a 2-1 victory over New Star Club in the first semi-final.
The result sets up an all-action final between two teams that have come through closely fought semi-final encounters.
The final will be played at Gyaptong Stadium, Rupa, with the Rupa Football League – Independence Cup 2026 title at stake.
