Shillong, June 19: Day Three of the East Jaintia Hills District-Level Inter-School Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament 2026 witnessed a series of thrilling encounters in the Under-17 boys’ category at the East Jaintia Hills District Sports Association (EJHDSA) Football Ground in Deinchynrum.
Organised by the Office of the District Sports Officer (DSO), East Jaintia Hills, the tournament featured five fixtures on Thursday.
Chiehruphi Secondary School registered a convincing 3-0 victory over Saraswati Vindhya, while Khliehriat Presbyterian Higher Secondary School secured a 3-1 win against Government Higher Secondary School.
Wapung Higher Secondary School produced the biggest win of the day, overpowering Iawpyngkat Upper Primary School 7-1 in a one-sided contest.
In the closest match of the day, Byndihati Secondary School edged past Rymbai Presbyterian Secondary School 3-2 in a tie-breaker after both sides remained deadlocked in regulation time.
Meanwhile, JSKJP Thangskai secured a walkover victory over Sutnga Presbyterian Higher Secondary School.
