Shillong, June 26: Meghalaya’s Riiohlang Dhar has added another milestone to her refereeing career, as she has been selected as a match official for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2026, to be held in Poland.
The announcement was made by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on social media on Thursday.
This will be Dhar’s second FIFA World Cup assignment, having previously officiated at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in 2024. She has also served as an assistant referee at the AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup, further strengthening her credentials on the international stage.
A serving officer with the Meghalaya Police, Dhar has steadily established herself as one of India’s leading football match officials through consistent performances in both domestic and international competitions.
She was recognised as the AIFF Female Assistant Referee of the Year for the 2024-25 season.
Dhar has also retained her place on FIFA’s International Refereeing List for 2026, ensuring she remains eligible for appointments to the world’s biggest international competitions.
The AIFF congratulated Dhar on her latest FIFA assignment, describing her as “an inspiration for the next generation of Indian match officials”.
