Tura, Oct 17: The Tura Motor Sports Club (TMSC) has announced the dates for its two flagship motorsport events, Moto X 2026 and Bilgaro-XI, with the motocross competition introducing a dedicated Kids category to encourage young racing talent.
The schedule was announced during a press conference held at Cariz in Bonepa, Tura, on Friday. Both events will be held at Dodenanggre in Tura, with Moto X 2026 scheduled for October 30 and 31, followed by Bilgaro-XI from November 12 to 14.
The two-wheeler motocross event will feature five categories: Beginners, Novice, Expert, 2-Stroke Open and Kids.
The newly introduced Kids category is aimed at nurturing young talent, promoting discipline and providing aspiring racers with an opportunity to develop their skills in a structured sporting environment.
Bilgaro-XI, the club’s flagship four-wheeler motorsport competition, will follow in November, continuing TMSC’s efforts to promote off-road motorsport in the Northeast.
During the press conference, the club also felicitated rally driver Aneesh M. Sangma for his achievements at the Rally of Himalayas 2026, held in September. Sangma finished fifth overall in the Extreme Category and secured first place in the T1 PCCV 4WD Class X3, for vehicles above 1350cc and up to 1850cc.

The club described Sangma’s performances on the national stage as an inspiration for aspiring drivers and riders across Garo Hills and Meghalaya.
Beyond competition, TMSC said the events form part of its broader effort to position Tura and the Garo Hills region as destinations for adventure tourism. The club noted that motorsport events can generate economic opportunities for local businesses, hospitality providers and workers.
Safety will remain a key priority, with the club coordinating with the district administration and police to ensure track safety, emergency medical arrangements and effective crowd management.
TMSC also acknowledged the support of its principal sponsor, the Department of Tourism, along with other supporting departments, volunteers and well-wishers in organising the events.
