Hockey India on Tuesday announced the Indian men’s squad for the Asian Champions Trophy 2026, scheduled to be held in Jalandhar and Mohali from October 27 to November 5.
Captain Harmanpreet Singh will lead the team as India look to continue their dominance in Asian hockey following their historic gold medal at the Asian Games 2026 in Japan. India successfully defended its continental crown for the first time at the Games.
The squad retains the core group that delivered the Asian Games triumph, underlining the team management’s emphasis on continuity ahead of the home tournament, where India will face some of Asia’s leading hockey nations.
Goalkeeper Krishan Bahadur Pathak returns to the squad, while young defender Amandeep Lakra and midfielder Aditya Arjun Lalage have earned another opportunity to strengthen their positions in the senior team.
Midfielder Vishnu Kant Singh and forward Angad Bir Singh have been named as reserve players alongside the 18-member main squad.
With the tournament being held on home soil, India will aim to build on their Asian Games success and maintain their standing among the continent’s leading hockey teams.
The Asian Champions Trophy 2026 will be played across Jalandhar and Mohali from October 27 to November 5.
