Shillong, Sept 18: The Shillong Sports Association (SSA) has rescheduled the kick-off time for the Second Division 2026 final between Mawpat SC and Sohryngkham SC, to be played at the SSA Ground in Polo.
The final, scheduled for September 19, will now begin at 4pm, instead of the previously announced 2:30pm kick-off, according to an official notification issued by the SSA.
The association said the change was made in view of the expected high spectator turnout. The later afternoon slot is intended to give local supporters, club members and football enthusiasts more time to reach the venue and support the two teams.
The SSA has asked the managements of both Mawpat SC and Sohryngkham SC to take note of the revised timing and make the necessary adjustments to their squad preparation schedules.
The Second Division final is expected to bring the 2026 campaign to a close with Mawpat and Sohryngkham competing for the title.
