Tura, Sept 5: Chambugong Mahari team attained a 3-0 victory over their opponent Chisim Mahari team at the ongoing 6th Inter-Mahari Mens Football Tournament on Friday at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School Artificial Turf playground in Chandmary, Tura.
Supporters and fans thronged the venue in large numbers to witness the game, echoing loud cheers and chants.

Playing in a 60-minute fixture (30 minutes per half), Chambugong seized complete control toward the end of the opening half with a rapid-fire attack. The opening breakthrough came in the 28th minute via Tremarchwal Ch Marak, followed just a minute later Wensbirth K Marak doubled the lead in the 29th minute, sending Chambugong into halftime with a comfortable 2–0 cushion.
Eight minutes into the second half, Nikrak Ch Marak put the game virtually out of reach, scoring in the 38th minute to extend the advantage to 3–0. Chambugong maintained a decent ball possession throughout the game, whereas Chisim was seen struggling to break Chambugong’s defense.
The game also had its fair share of disciplinary trouble. In the 43rd minute, the referee cautioned Dali M Sangma with a yellow card for a heavy foul tackle. Perus M Marak immediately confronted and misbehaved with the referee to challenge the decision, prompting the official to send Perus off with a straight red card, leaving Chisim to finish the final minutes down a man.

Chambugong managed the remaining time comfortably to seal the clean sheet and all three points, and their Bontom Ch Marak received the player of the match award.
