Khliehriat, June 25: The District Level Inter-School Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament 2026, organised by the Office of the District Sports Officer (DSO), East Jaintia Hills (EJH) District, entered the semi-final stage on Wednesday at the East Jaintia Hills District Sports Association (EJHDSA) Football Ground in Deinchynrum.
The day featured two semi-final matches in the Under-15 Boys category and two semi-final fixtures in the Under-17 Girls category, with teams battling for places in the finals.
In the Under-15 Boys category, Musniang Secondary School booked their place in the final after edging past Sham Sham Secondary School 1-0 in a closely contested encounter. Step by Step Secondary School also advanced to the title clash, defeating Wapung Higher Secondary School 2-1.
In the Under-17 Girls category, Khliehriat Higher Secondary School secured a 2-0 victory over Sham Sham Secondary School to progress to the final. Joining them will be Lotus Secondary School, which registered a convincing 3-0 win against Khliehriat Presbyterian Higher Secondary School in the other semi-final.
