Tura, June 25: The Tura Football League 2026 saw two gripping matches in the Second Division at the GBHSS playground in Chandmary, Tura on Wednesday. Spectators gathered at the venue were treated to high-intensity football as teams fought tooth and nail for maximum points.

The first match of the day between Morning FC and Dakopgre YSCC ended in a dramatic 2-2 stalemate. Dakopgre YSCC, after winning the toss, started with aggressive intent and opened the scoring in the 18th minute through a fine strike by Bilco A Sangma. Dakopgre then doubled their advantage when Bebeon Chejring M Marak found the back of the net in the 21st minute.

Down by two goals, Morning FC staged a brilliant comeback when Tesan R Marak struck his first goal in the 22nd minute to pull one back and subsequently levelled the scoreline in the 34th minute to complete his brace. Despite tactical changes and multiple substitutions in the second half, neither side could find the winner, forcing them to share points.
The second encounter of the day was an equally gripping five-goal thriller where Meggonggre SCC narrowly defeated Nikwatgre SCC by 3-2. Nikwatgre SCC opened the scoring early in the 5th minute through Billyat R. Marak. Meggonggre SCC responded firmly as Tengsak T Sangma found the equalizer in the 10th minute.

Capitalizing on the momentum, Meggonggre went ahead in the 16th minute with a goal from Tengsim Momin. Nikwatgre SCC fought back fiercely, and Billyat R. Marak restored parity in the 35th minute by scoring his second goal of the match. The final blow was delivered in the second half when Meggonggre’s Tengsim Momin scored the match-winner in the 48th minute to secure a well-earned victory for his side.

Looking forward, the league will feature two Group C matches at the GBHSS Playground on Thursday. In the first match at 1:00 PM, Seltang FC will take on Jendra FC. Following that, the second match at 3:00 PM will see Nokrek Medan go up against Dura Wa’saa.
