Aichi-Nagoya, Japan: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has stepped up its logistical and operational support for the Indian contingent at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026, rolling out a series of measures to address the accommodation, transportation and medical mobility needs of athletes and support staff.
Working in coordination with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), the Embassy of India in Japan and the Games Organising Committee, SAI has strengthened its on-ground arrangements to ensure smoother operations and allow Indian athletes to remain focused on their competitions.

A dedicated Reception and Assistance Team, comprising representatives from the IOA, SAI and the Indian Embassy, has been deployed at the airport to welcome athletes, coaches and support personnel arriving for the continental showpiece.
The team is assisting with arrival formalities, providing refreshments and guiding members of the Indian contingent on onward transportation to Games venues and accommodation.
In a key logistical intervention, SAI has arranged dedicated transportation for Indian shooters to facilitate their travel to and from competition venues. Cars have also been deployed to improve the mobility of medical teams, enabling them to move efficiently between venues and provide timely assistance to athletes.

Addressing accommodation challenges, SAI has additionally arranged rooms for coaches and support staff who could not be accommodated by the Games Organising Committee due to limited availability.
The measures come as India continues its campaign at the Asian Games, where efficient logistics, medical support and athlete welfare remain critical to the contingent’s overall preparation and performance.
SAI said its coordinated efforts with the IOA, the Indian Embassy and the Organising Committee are aimed at ensuring comprehensive logistical, medical and operational assistance to the Indian contingent throughout the Games.
