Tura, July 29: Chada United Sports Association (CUSA) and Seltang Football Club booked their places in the Tura Football League (TFL) 2026-27 Second Division final after recording emphatic victories in their respective semi-finals at the Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Playground in Chandmary on Tuesday.
With the victories, both teams have also earned promotion to the First Division for next season.
CUSA outclass Chitoktak FC
CUSA produced a commanding performance to defeat Chitoktak FC 4-1 in the opening semi-final.
Irish Marak opened the scoring in the 32nd minute before Balsan Sangma doubled the lead four minutes later, handing CUSA a comfortable 2-0 advantage at half-time.

Chitoktak FC reduced the deficit through Donebi S Sangma in the 63rd minute, but CUSA responded immediately as Irish Marak completed his brace just a minute later. Donabal Marak then put the result beyond doubt with the fourth goal in the 77th minute.
Atmosh Marak of CUSA received the only yellow card of the match in the 61st minute.
Kennybirth fires Seltang into the final
The second semi-final saw Seltang FC produce a dominant display as they thrashed Dakopgre Youth Sports and Cultural Club 5-0.
Niksam N Sangma gave Seltang the perfect start with a third-minute opener before Kennybirth Marak stole the show with a superb hat-trick. He struck in the 13th and 26th minutes to give his side a commanding lead before completing his treble immediately after the restart in the 45th minute.

Lambai Sangma added the fifth goal in the 53rd minute to complete a comprehensive victory.
Dakopgre’s Easter R Marak was shown a yellow card in the 27th minute.
Final on August 6
CUSA and Seltang FC will now meet in the Second Division final on August 6, with both teams already assured of promotion to the First Division.
Meanwhile, the First Division competition has reached the closing stages of the quarter-finals, with the semi-finals set to be played shortly. Organisers have confirmed that the finals of both the First and Second Division competitions will be held on August 6, making it a double-header of local football action at the GBHSS Playground in Chandmary.
