Tura, Sept 10: Rangsa Mahari delivered a clinical performance to secure a convincing 2-0 victory over Koksi Mahari in the final pre-quarterfinal match of the ongoing 6th Inter-Mahari Men Football Tournament 2026, held at Tura on Wednesday.
With this crucial win, Rangsa Mahari has secured the remaining spot in the tournament’s quarter-final stage.
The match began with high intensity as both sides sought to control the tempo from the opening whistle. Koksi Mahari attempted to build pressure early, but Rangsa Mahari’s defensive line remained compact and disciplined, thwarting any potential threats.

The deadlock was broken in the 27th minute of the first half when Silman R Marak capitalized on an opening, finishing smoothly past the Koksi defense to give Rangsa Mahari a 1-0 lead going into the interval.
Returning after the break, Koksi Mahari pushed forward for an equalizer but failed to convert chances. Rangsa Mahari made the most of their opponent’s missed chances and doubled their advantage in the second half as Maldini Duangkham R Marak found the back of the net in the 34th minute. The two-goal cushion effectively sealed the contest, leaving Koksi Mahari with very little time to stage a comeback.
Rangsa Mahari’s Salakim R Marak was named the Player of the Match for his standout performance throughout the contest.

With the pre-quarter final stage now officially over, the tournament moves into its high-stakes knockout phase. The quarter-final clashes are set to kick off on September 10 at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School Artificial Turf playground in Chandmary, Tura.
