Shillong, July 1: Lawmali Pyllun SC and Lummawbah SC registered victories in their respective Group B fixtures of the SSA SRGT 3rd Division Football League 2026 at the SSA Ground on Tuesday.
The opening fixture between Lawmali Pyllun SC and Kharang SC produced an unusual first half, with both goals coming from own goals before Lawmali secured a 2-1 victory.
Lawmali Pyllun went ahead in the 17th minute courtesy of an own goal by Kharang SC. However, 10 minutes later, Kharang SC induced an own goal from Lawmali Pyllun, leaving the sides level at 1-1 at the interval.
The deadlock was finally broken in the second half when Mebanteilang Marbaniang found the winner in the 68th minute to seal all three points for Lawmali Pyllun.
The day’s second fixture proved to be another tightly contested affair, with Lummawbah SC edging Umphyrnai SC 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Adelbert K. Shun in the 42nd minute, securing a hard-earned victory for Lummawbah SC.
