Tura, June 9: Following the successful completion of the hugely popular Meghalaya State Leage (MSL) in Shillong last week, excitement and anticipation is now building up in Garo Hills as the Tura Football League season 2026 is about to begin. Tura Football League’s Second Division competition will kick-off on June 23.
The District Football Association (DFA), Tura, has informed that the Tura Football League will feature three divisions this season. The Super Division will comprise eight teams, the First Division will have 10 teams, while the Second Division will see participation from 28 teams.
The Second Division League will get underway on June 23, followed by the First Division towards the end of June. The Super Division, which features the district’s top clubs, is scheduled to begin in the first week of July. The association will soon release the fixtures of these competitions.
This will be followed by Tura Women’s League and the Tura Youth League.
According to a DFA official, the league forms part of the association’s ongoing efforts to promote football and strengthen the sporting culture across Garo Hills.
