Tura, June 30: Danakgre Youth Sports and Cultural Association (DYSCA) and Dadenggre Youth Club shared points after playing out a 2-2 draw in the Tura Football League’s First Division match at the GBHSS playground in Chandmary on Tuesday. A rapid-fire double from DYSCA in the second half cancelled out Dadenggre’s early two-goal cushion in an engaging 80 minutes of football.

DYSCA won the toss, but Dadenggre YC struck first with Jericko Sangma scoring in the 13th minute, setting a stable 1-0 lead for his team by half time. The match also saw a major disciplinary turn in the 26th minute when Dadenggre’s Salchugra Sangma was sent off with a straight red card for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity. Despite being reduced to 10 men, Dadenggre YC extended their lead to 2-0 early in the second half when Tren Sangma found the back of the net in the 50th minute.

DYSCA eventually capitalized on their numerical advantage, scoring twice in quick succession. Tranear Marak pulled one back in the 64th minute, and Mikjrang Sangma converted a penalty and equalised the score just two minutes later in the 66th minute. Earlier, Borsil Marak of DYSCA was cautioned with a yellow card in the 24th minute.

Both teams looked to break the deadlock in the dying minutes of the fixture but neither side could find a winner before the final whistle and ended up sharing points.
Looking ahead, the next match of the First Division fixture will see Chandmary FC lock horns with Kalkame FA on July 2 at 3:00 PM at the GBHSS playground.
