Shillong, June 30: Lamlynti FC staged a superb second-half comeback to defeat Mawlynrei SC 3-1 in the SSA SRGT 3rd Division Football League 2026 at the SSA Ground on Monday.
Mawlynrei SC broke the deadlock shortly after the restart through Dawan Mawlong in the 50th minute. Their lead, however, lasted only two minutes as Chandy Suting equalised for Lamlynti FC in the 52nd minute.
Buoyed by the quick response, Lamlynti FC took control of the contest, with Monish Mani putting his side ahead in the 65th minute before Arban Sohshang wrapped up the victory with a third goal in the 73rd minute.
Earlier in the day, Umiew Maw U Sam and Nongumlong SC played out a goalless draw in the opening fixture of the day. Both sides had their chances but were unable to find the breakthrough, settling for a point apiece.
The league action resumes on Tuesday at the same venue with Kharang SC facing Lawmali Pyllun SC at 1:00 pm, followed by the clash between Lummawbah SC and Umphyrnai SC at 4:00 pm.
